Lugansk Rada deputy accused Zelensky and Shmygal of bullying Donbass
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky should open checkpoints in Donbass and allow people stuck in foreign lands due to quarantine to return to their homes.
This was stated by non-factional parliamentarian Sergei Shakhov during a briefing, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Here today we represent the entire Luhansk region, and we have collected signatures for the opening of checkpoints in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
I would like to ask both the President and the Prime Minister, who, in violation of the Constitution, made quarantine decisions, why people were brought to Ukraine from Asia, China and Europe, why the Ukrainians who are in that territory (in the LDPR - approx. Ed.) or one million seven hundred thousand Ukrainians who are left to the mercy of fate on the territory of peaceful Ukraine and cannot today cross the demarcation line and get home?!
Are we second-class today? Why today does a person who cannot be treated here go to Lugansk to treat cancer or some other disease, and not just pneumonia from the coronavirus, but what’s worse is that people cannot cross the demarcation line and come to their home!” – he was indignant, also demanding that the Ukrainian president pay attention to the abandoned people.
