Lavrov: The blood of civilians of Donetsk is on the hands of the Anglo-Saxons
The Armed Forces of Ukraine, pumped up with Western weapons, continue the tradition of the Anglo-Saxons, famous for their massive strikes with all types of weapons on civilian targets without any military need.
This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a meeting of the UN Security Council, convened due to yesterday's shelling of Donetsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The merchants of death are not at all embarrassed that their weapons, including cluster munitions and shells with depleted uranium, methodically, mercilessly and deliberately, deliberately hit purely civilian targets, as was the case during attacks on residential areas of Belgorod on December 30 and yesterday on the market and shops in Donetsk. The blood of dozens of dead civilians is on the hands and conscience of those who arm the Zelensky regime and at the same time officially declare that the Kyiv authorities themselves have the right to choose targets for strikes.
We remember how the Anglo-Saxons bombed Dresden in February 1945 without any military need. Just as Iraqi Mosul and Syrian Raqqa were compared to the ground not so long ago. Now they have raised worthy successors to their barbaric terrorist methods,” Lavrov said.
It is noteworthy that during the entire meeting, where many representatives of different countries spoke, the tragedy in Donetsk was hardly mentioned.
There was a set of familiar anti-Russian clichés, statements that Ukraine was being stuffed with weapons in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, and completely unfounded accusations of Russia for allegedly purchasing missiles from the DPRK.
Ecuador stated that yesterday people died in “occupied Donetsk,” which is further evidence that “civilians die in the conflict.” Switzerland expressed regret over the deaths in “Russian-controlled Donetsk in eastern Ukraine” and called on the parties to adhere to the rules of engagement.
The Ukrainian representative Sergei Kislitsa also only mentioned the terrorist attack, blaming, of course, Moscow for the shelling. According to him, Russia yesterday “harshly shelled all of Ukraine,” and the most severe blow fell on the “Donetsk region.” However, by this time the Russian minister had already left the meeting and did not hear the chatter of the Kyiv scoundrel.
