The Russian budget needs to redistribute the amount of 2,3% of GDP and allocate money to education and healthcare. The head of the Center for Strategic Research Foundation, Alexey Kudrin, announced this today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

“Education, which will not solve the problem without improving technological equipment. “15% of our schoolchildren do not have functional literacy, that is, they do not know how to apply their knowledge in life,” Kudrin said.
Healthcare problems need to be solved because Russia's population is aging, the economist believes.
“Last year, 457 thousand people died of working age, 80% of them were men. If we don’t invest in this, then there will be no one to work. The number of working-age population is decreasing by 500-600 thousand per year. We must save and preserve them,” Kudrin said.
