The Crimean authorities do not need a Kurultai or Majlis, - ex-head of the Bakhchisarai region

According to the former head of the Bakhchisaray district state administration, Ilmi Umerov, the meetings held in the Council of Ministers of Crimea with members of the Mejlis are an attempt by the authorities to divert attention from “serious” issues.
“In an effort to reformat the Majlis, I personally was not invited to these “meetings,” but they “work” with other members of the Majlis one at a time, then decide whether to invite or not. I repeat, once again, they will not get a majority, but getting bogged down in this fuss is impossible to focus on more serious issues. And this is all the current leadership of Crimea needs. Does anyone seriously think that they need our Kurultai or Majlis? That’s the point, it’s not needed!” a former high-ranking Ukrainian official wrote on social networks.
Let us remind you that the day before, Crimean Deputy Speaker Remzi Ilyasov said that the Mejlis will determine the date of the Kurultai in the near future. Pro-Ukrainian Crimean media accuse the regional authorities of putting pressure on members of the Mejlis in order to appoint Ilyasov as chairman of the national body.
