Commander of the corvette "Ternopil": Americans and Turks can intervene in the conflict around Crimea
Kyiv, March 07 (Navigator, Denis Andreev) – Both the Russian and Ukrainian fleets in Crimea are preparing for a meeting with the Americans from the Truxtun ship, on which the further development of the crisis may depend.
The commander of the Ternopil corvette blocked in Sevastopol Bay, captain of the third rank Maxim Emelianenko, told Kommersant-Ukraine about this.

“I do not know about the tasks assigned to the crew of this ship. But I will tell you the opinion of many military men who are now under siege here. Now Russia seems to be opposing Ukraine, but the Americans, who have their own defense policy, are coming here. And most likely, no one has done anything to us yet, because, judging by the activity of the Russian fleet, everyone is preparing to meet the Americans,” he said.
Emelianenko emphasized that when the Americans are near Crimea, provocations are possible from any side. And when the first shell falls on civilians, no one will figure out whose shell it was.
“Let’s not forget that the fourth force can also be the Turks, who have already declared that they will defend the Crimean Tatars. America and Turkey have nothing to lose here except their ships, but the Russians and we have families here,” the Ukrainian captain emphasized.
