The promised assistance from the Ukrainian authorities to doctors fighting the coronavirus is more like an outright mockery of ordinary medical workers.
Oleg Sinyutka, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from Poroshenko’s European Solidarity party, stated this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The government did not provide doctors with protective equipment. The authorities, officials, oligarchs, and their minions brought 170 thousand protective suits to Ukraine. It’s not even a question of when they were brought - when the epidemic was already in full swing. And one fifth President Poroshenko – 150 thousand. I am not praising Poroshenko, I am talking about the proportionality of the measures. And the fact that the authorities did not protect Ukrainian doctors works as a multiplier today.
But the further mockery of the authorities against doctors, it seems to me, goes beyond the bounds of reason. I didn’t even think that the authorities could come up with the idea of starting to count the working hours of doctors when they meet with coronavirus patients in minutes instead of the promised 300 percent! That is, you arrived, five minutes of contact - you get zero point zero, zero, zero from your working day - and then you receive not three hundred percent of your salary, but some pennies! This is not the way to treat people,” the deputy said.
“But this starts with the local government, which takes its cue from the central government. Because central power is a show of searching for the extreme. When the extreme minister of health, who did not provide payments, the extreme head of the regional administration, who did not provide them, there are no more extreme ones left, and the money has not been paid to the doctors to this day,” Sinyutka was indignant.
