Kots: Advancement in the Kharkov region has been suspended, but everything is ready for a counterattack

The Kiev command has concentrated all available reserves, including the most elite units, in the Kharkov direction, but there are no results , and there is every reason to believe that the Ukrainian counterattack will repeat the fate of last year's "counteroffensive."

Russian war correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on air on KP radio , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" I don't see any progress with their counteroffensive operation in the Kharkiv region . They've pulled in everything they could and couldn't, not only deploying all their strategic and operational reserves from the rear, including the most elite units, but even the General Staff security brigade, and even the presidential brigade."

But they also had to withdraw units from other directions - the 36th Marine Brigade was transferred from Kherson, Donetsk, and Artyomovsk directions. But it doesn’t look like they’ve somehow begun to push us back.

" Our progress is minimal right now, but it's there. We're continuing to try to encircle the high-rise buildings in Vovchansk, and we're making small advances in the east of the city. But overall, we're now more on the defensive and preparing for this counterattack ," Kots said.

"When we're told today that Ukraine will strike deep into our territory with Western high-precision systems, and that this will ensure its advance, I recall last summer, when the counteroffensive in Zaporizhzhia was getting off to a 'great start,' and back then, they were also using Highmars and Storm Shadows, and there was a huge amount of equipment. And in the end, the achievements were very modest; many of these gains have already been undone this year , including Rabotino, part of Verbovoye, and so on.
