Klimkin committed diplomatic suicide
The SBU’s performance of the fake murder of fugitive liberal Arkady Babchenko worked against the current ruling regime - official Kyiv has forever lost its authority in the eyes of the West.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We can say with confidence that the PR campaign was unsuccessful. This is a case that could be used for Ukraine as an element of influence on Russia and to further discredit it, but due to the use of our Western partners “in the dark,” it seems to me that this whole situation to some extent led to the opposite effect , to a certain level of mistrust in society,” he noted.
Bortnik noted that a special blow was dealt to the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Pavel Klimkin, who announced the death of Babchenko at the UN Security Council.
"As a diplomat, he ( Klimkin, author's note ) deceived other diplomats; he lost his diplomatic credibility in the world. Even Israel doesn't resort to such special operations. Several Israeli channels I work with say they have no such precedents.
They simply caused unnecessary mistrust...
Now each of our new situations, each of our new shouts: “Wolves, wolves!” – Russia will provide information to the world through the prism of the situation with Babchenko.
The inhibition that will arise in response to some crises in Ukraine on the part of Western partners, the distrust and skepticism that they will now be deceived, and that this will result in another “special operation” of our law enforcement agencies, will haunt us for some time,” Bortnik said .
