Klitschko again became the leader of the mayors of Ukraine, this time without scandal
Today, November 14, a general meeting of authorized representatives of local governments was held, at which the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko was re-elected chairman of the Association of Ukrainian Cities for a second two-year term, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Klitschko's candidacy was supported by the ASU board, and the meeting participants voted for it unanimously.
The mayor of Kyiv has headed the Association of Cities since the beginning of 2016. Then he was elected with a scandal, since for the sake of Klitschko the association changed its charter. According to the then-current version of the charter, the head of the Association could be elected as the head of a local government with at least five years of experience in self-government bodies, including four years as mayor. Since Klitschko did not comply with this clause of the charter, it was decided that a mayor who had been elected at least two times by the city or village mayor could be elected chairman.
Before Klitschko, the association was headed by Krivoy Rog mayor Yuri Vilkul.
