Kiev newspaper: The hurricane that hit Western Ukraine - “Putin’s Shadow”
The Kiev newspaper “Young Ukraine” linked the bad weather that hit Galicia with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“A destructive storm, which people aptly nicknamed “Putin’s Shadow,” came to us from Russia and swept across Western Ukraine... In two days, more than 800 settlements in 10 regions of Ukraine were cut off. Residents of the Transcarpathian, Volyn, Chernivtsi and Lviv regions suffered the most from the weather whims,” the publication says.
“According to weather forecasters, the July anomalous rainfall is far from the last of this summer season. After the cyclone swept through Russia, Ukraine and a number of Central European countries, one should not expect hot weather,” the publication clarifies the consequences from “Putin’s Shadow.”
