Kyiv will win the confrontation with Moscow, just as Germany defeated the GDR, - Ukrainian admiral
Kyiv, November 14 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – The conflict in Donbass may eventually turn into an economic confrontation, and Ukraine has every chance of winning it.
This was stated by the former Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Admiral of the Ukrainian Navy Igor Kabanenko during an Internet chat.

“I believe that Ukraine can withstand this difficult confrontation, combining all its capabilities: economic, political, diplomatic, cultural, military - different. In terms of duration, modern conflicts indicate that turbulence is measured in time in years. How we will do this depends solely on us and our activity and ability to act effectively. The solution to border problems will be more in the economic plane. That is, sooner or later the conflict will turn into an economic plane, into economic competition. Here we have every opportunity, because the liberal democratic system allows us to work most efficiently, this has already been proven by the Marshall Plan. We can achieve such a plan with our persistence and willingness to open our market to transparent Western investment."
At the same time, when participating in a hybrid war, the Ukrainian army must act actively and ahead of the enemy’s actions, believes Igor Kabanenko.
“In my opinion, this is a matter of strategy chosen by the authorities,” he said. – If this is a reactive strategy, this, in my opinion, is not the best option. We need an active strategy, one that is proactive. allowing you to stay ahead of the enemy in ideas, approaches and practical actions. Of course, this strategy must be comprehensive. If we proceed from such approaches, it will become clear that attempts to maintain a ceasefire when the other side provokes is a positionally static approach that is ineffective. The hybrid war itself requires movement, advancement, maneuver approaches,” he says.
