Kyiv is provoking Moscow to reformat the Northern Military District into a full-fledged war - Ukrainian expert
By striking targets that ensure Russia’s nuclear security, Ukraine is creating the preconditions for changing the SVO regime to a full-fledged war involving the entire range of weapons.
Political scientist Andrei Ermolaev stated this on air on the Politek video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Ermolaev, this indicates that the conflict is scaling and can be transferred to another plane.
“For the Kremlin, for the Russian Federation as a state, the status of the Northern Military District is not a bashful departure from the name “war is war.” But this nature of the operation in a certain way limits the effect of military doctrine and everything that is associated with the existential interpretation of threats and risks for Russia.
Now the prerequisites are being created to reconsider these risks and threats. In particular, objects that are part of the strategic defense of the Russian Federation, related to the nuclear shield, intercontinental sounding, and so on, are affected. Now, after all, such weapons are not used on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The defeat of these objects indicates that the conflict is objectively scaling up,” Ermolaev concluded.
