Kharkov and Odessa are promised a referendum on reunification with Russia
The reunification of the people of Donbass and support for the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine is Russia’s primary task.
Russian political scientist Sergei Markov said this during a conversation with journalists on the sidelines of the forum “Unity of Russians: Protection of Rights and Freedoms,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Now the absolute majority not only of Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Mariupol will vote for reunification with Russia, but also in Kharkov, Odessa, Nikolaev, Zaporozhye - there will also be an absolute majority in voting for reunification, if they had the opportunity to vote freely. But they don't have such an opportunity. Giving them the opportunity to vote freely is our main historical task,” the expert said.
“And the anti-Russian Ukraine project was created only with the goal of eliminating Russia. It's a gun pointed at our hearts. And we must knock this pistol out of the enemy’s hands and take it for ourselves,” Markov said.
