Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk spoke about this.
“We do not have the same kind of budget program as in the United States, we have our military mission program, it continues to be very active. The approximate cost of their activities is about 45 million Canadian dollars,” the ambassador noted.
According to him, in addition to direct military activities, Canada also funds support for civilian security training.
“Well, our program for training civilian security agencies for our police officers - we have about 20 Canadian police officers who constantly work with our Ukrainian colleagues - this also comes out to about 10-12 million dollars a year. This is what is planned for the next year, 2018,” the ambassador said.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported, Canada added Ukraine to the list of countries according to which the restriction on the sale of lethal firearms is lifted.
