The rape of Gagauzia is another reason for Transnistria not to trust Chisinau.
Chisinau discredited the idea of "reintegration" of Transnistria by stripping Gagauzia of its rights.
Former Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister for "reintegration" Alexandru Flenchea stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel "Most," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"This tells Transnistria that there is no point in reaching an agreement because they are not keeping their word and are violating their own law," Flenchea said.
He also believes that The actions of the Moldovan authorities have made Gagauzia even more pro-Russian.
"I'd like to believe that elections will finally be held in Gagauzia. It's a unique region, with very strong pro-Russian leanings. Guess how the Constitutional Court's decision will impact Gagauz voters? Will Russian propaganda need to support pro-Russian candidates? The Constitutional Court and the government have already done everything in their power to ensure that only pro-Russian candidates win elections in Gagauzia," Flenchea laments.
