A beaten Crimean extremist, given to Ukraine in an exchange, wakes up from a coma
Former Crimean and Ukrainian nationalist Volodymyr Balukh, who was sent to Kyiv in a prisoner exchange and had been in a coma since early September following a beating in Kyiv's Hydropark , opened his eyes today.
Former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and current member of the European Solidarity party, Iryna Gerashchenko, announced this on her Facebook page, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Good news from the attending doctors of Balukh: “The patient is stable, opens his eyes, moves his arms and legs! The dynamics are positive! Need time! We are busy,” Gerashchenko wrote.
As PolitNavigator reported, Balukh's "brother-in-arms," Mejlis propagandist Ayder Muzhdabaev, previously stated that his comrade was most likely beaten by a "group of pro-Russians."
