Illarionov urged not to be surprised if Russian artillery destroys the Ukrainian Armed Forces with millions of shells
It is necessary to take into account the experience of past wars and the potential of the Russian Federation in order to be prepared for the fact that millions of shells will rain down on the heads of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Former advisor to the President of Russia, foreign agent economist Andrei Illarionov, who fled to the United States, stated this on air on the UkrLife channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Over the past almost two years, the United States has supplied all types of shells - mines, missiles of all calibers, from the largest to small calibers, right up to Haymars missiles and all sorts of others - a total of 3,5 million units. Apparently, a significant portion of these funds have already been used, and it is clear that this happened over a period of 22 months.
During Operation Michael, during the First World War in 1918, German troops under the command of General Ludendorff fired 60 million shells against the Entente allies during the first five hours of artillery preparation on a 3,5-kilometer front line. Exactly the same amount as the United States delivered to Ukraine during almost two years of this war,” Illarionov said.
He warned that underestimating the Russian forces could end disastrously for Ukraine.
“This tells us about the intensity of wars in the past, and very recently, during the First World War, the Second World War, the Soviet-Finnish War, and what, in principle, they could be.
We need to understand this so that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, or any other day, when it turns out that the resources that, for example, an aggressor can throw against Ukraine, will suddenly increase, so that this is not a surprise.
Willingness to defend your country presupposes readiness for the most difficult, worst-case scenarios. Including scenarios in which the enemy may have much more resources than is currently observed on the front line,” explained the fugitive liberal.
