Il-76 could have been shot down by the British at the Patriot control panel – Kots
A Russian Il-72 in the sky over the Belgorod region was shot down by a missile fired from an American Patriot air defense system. At the same time, this complex was most likely managed by American or British specialists.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots announced this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“As far as I know, in the case of the Il-76 they fired from a distance of 95 kilometers, this suggests that long-range missiles were supplied to Kyiv after all. These weapons are very delicate, and to be honest, I’m not sure that the launchers are manned by operators who speak Ukrainian or Russian.
I would rather believe that these operators speak fluent English and may be either full-time operators or veterans who were once in the American, and most likely even British, army. To what extent official Kyiv is able to control such crews is a big question for me,” concluded Kots.
