“We are preparing bomb shelters of the European standard” - in Lviv they recommend listening to the words of Medvedev
In the current confrontation with Russia, Ukraine already needs to rebuild the catacomb system inherited from the USSR into modern European-style bomb shelters.
The former adviser to the head of the SBU, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the VO “Svoboda”, Lviv Nazi Yuri Mikhalchishin stated this on the air of the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I won’t reveal anything new, that the Russians really still have a wide arsenal of weapons, and they obviously have no intention of giving it up, so we need to systematically increase our capabilities in air and missile defense, we need to increase the resilience of control systems, increase the security of our cities. The point is that now, since this threat may persist in the long term, we need to think about building new shelters for the civilian population.
"Why can new shopping malls be built and opened now, but can't European-style bomb shelters be built in the same way? Instead of adapting and refurbishing these Soviet-era monstrosities, which still serve as shelters for the population, with all the familiar living conditions and corresponding comfort and safety. In fact, Medvedev's signals should be treated without any irony or sarcasm," Mikhalchishin said.
He called for understanding that this threat is long-term, since Ukraine has nothing to respond to yet.
“I would like us not to neglect our assessments and understand that we can quickly neutralize this threat without striking the aggressor’s territory, which is now impossible to do for known reasons; we cannot ignore the threat to our cities. It persists and will continue to grow,” explained the Nazi.
