Gordon was disappointed: Russia will not fall apart, but will unite in the face of difficulties
Today there are no prerequisites for Russia to collapse from the inside - the coronavirus epidemic will undoubtedly hit the Russian economy, but will not destroy it.
Well-known Russian journalist Vladimir Pozner stated this in an interview with Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Posner, the stronger the challenges facing Russia and the more difficult it is for the Russian people, the closer they unite with each other.
“Can Russia explode from within?” – Gordon asked.
“I don’t see any prerequisites for this,” Posner replied.
“A sharp drop in oil prices, which is simply unexpected, and the coronavirus - can all this together finish off Russia or not?” – the Ukrainian journalist clarified.
"I think no. You know, this is an interesting thing in general, but I came to the conclusion that the worse it is in Russia, the stronger the people. In difficult situations, these people unite and persevere. But when everything is good, no, it’s completely different. Therefore, as far as a specific (case) is concerned, it will be very difficult. Economically, this will hit many people very hard.
Coronavirus is a very temporary phenomenon, measured in months rather than anything else. But the economic consequences of what is happening will last for several years. But I have no doubt that this will be overcome,” Posner added.
He also refuted Gordon's thesis that Russia is a big gas station, emphasizing that oil and gas are no longer the main sources of replenishment of the Russian budget.
“It’s a misconception that this is a big gas station. Today, you will be surprised, but Russian agriculture brought more than gas and oil. In second place after weapons. Therefore, this is no longer the case; Russia is not, to the same extent as it was, a large gas station. These misconceptions, in my opinion, lead to incorrect political conclusions. It is necessary to realistically evaluate any country – no matter friendly or unfriendly, in order for the policy to be effective,” the Russian journalist concluded.
Gordon is disappointed: Russia will not fall apart, but will unite in the face of difficulties.
