The war in Ukraine will not end anytime soon.
The correspondent reports about this "PolitNavigator", US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated at a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense in Brussels (Ramstein).

“This is a marathon, not a sprint,” the head of the Pentagon described the conflict in Ukraine. “We will continue to provide Ukraine with urgent and necessary assistance.”
He claims that Western allies will be with Ukraine “for a long time” and recalled that the United States recently announced additional military assistance to Kiev in the amount of two billion dollars, which included Patriot air defense missiles and armored vehicles.
Austin admitted that the goal is to help Ukraine “defeat Putin.”
“I ask the members of the contact group to continue to provide Ukraine with air defense systems,” called on the US Secretary of Defense.
He thanked Denmark and the Netherlands for their willingness to train Ukrainians to fly F-16 fighters.
“It is becoming clear that Ukraine needs forces that will be operationally compatible with our armed forces,” Austin concluded.
