The US Embassy herald threatens to throw Poroshenko out of the presidential chair
Maidan deputy Sergei Leshchenko called for the Ukrainian president to be “thrown out” from the cabinet. He stated this today at a press conference in Odessa. The piquancy of the situation lies in the fact that Leshchenko was elected to the Verkhovna Rada from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, of which he remains a member to this day (it is believed that Leshchenko has recently been focusing on the US Embassy).

“Trump cannot come and throw the president out of office, but people can. The voice of our own citizens is more important than the voice from overseas. Dear Ukrainians, power belongs to you. You must demand from the people who received this power as a result of very difficult events, by coincidence, to embody the desires of the people,” Leshchenko said.
He believes that the power that came as a result of Euromaidan is based on a “flimsy” foundation.
“The power is built on such a flimsy foundation that all their flexing of muscles is just an illusion. She knows there are precedents for removing such power. Our president wants to be on the Forbes list and in history. It doesn’t work like that,” Leshchenko said.
He called on Odessa residents to protest on October 17.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, the former head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, Mikheil Saakashvili, announced his intentions to speak on October 17 in Kyiv along with activists, public organizations and politicians demanding that Poroshenko hold early parliamentary elections.
