Galician rapper: The fees of Russian artists are enough to outfit 5 thousand Russians
In recent months, just listening to Russian tracks on the Apple platform has brought Russia a profit that is enough to equip 5 thousand soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces.
The winner of the Eurovision Song Contest “kilimmen” from the rap group “Kalush Orchestra” stated this on air on the First Western TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The studio discussed the group’s project “Musical Mobilization,” in which Ukrainians are urged to stop listening to Russian music products on streaming services.
"We understand that Russian music isn't just an industry that earns money for the Russian budget; it's also a form of propaganda. It's been so much easier for us now that we've stopped seeing them on Ukrainian TV and radio, and we're happy that they might be earning less, which is a very good thing. But how can we calculate the profit that listening to tracks on, say, the Apple platform has brought Russia over the past nine months?" the TV presenter asked.
“There are about 275 million dollars, and they calculated how much tax goes specifically to the military budget; Russian artists can fully equip 5 thousand Russian soldiers,” the “kilimmen” answered.
The “artist” was asked how effectively the replacement of Russian tracks on Ukrainian radio air is going.
"Or are the music editors speculating and replacing them with foreign music?" the channel employee clarified.
“There is a certain apathy, but as much as the number of new music performers has grown, there are a lot of talented people who were unknown until now,” the Galician rapper assures.
"What portion of the supposed 100% audience that subscribes to these tracks on all these platforms will respond to your call not to listen to this Russian obscenity?" the host asked.
“If I hear that any of you listen to Russian music, I will come to your house,” the “kilimmen” threatened.
“And given your appearance, and also in the situation when we don’t have electricity for 8 hours, it’s better to stop listening to Russian tracks,” agreed the TV presenter.
