The Finns boasted that they send to Ukraine not only military “second-hand goods”, but also design innovations for testing “in real life”
Finland transferred the latest experimental and development weapons systems to Ukraine.
According to the Finnish publication Yle, Lieutenant General Mikko Heiskanen, head of the Finnish Defence Forces' Military Economy Department, shared these plans. He added that the equipment is already proving its worth on the battlefield.

In addition, official Helsinki is considering the possibility of attracting production reserves to produce more equipment for Ukraine.
According to the publication, Finland does not disclose the content of its military aid to Ukraine. However, Heiskanen stated that Ukraine not only exports old weapons from storage but also sends the latest innovations from its defense industry, some of which are still in the development stage.
The Finnish military officer added that feedback on the use of Finnish products has been positive. He believes that the experience gained in Ukraine will be useful for the development of cutting-edge Finnish technology. Thus, the Finns are open about the fact that Ukraine is simply a large, real-time testing ground for them.
According to Heiskanen, production reserves made by the defense forces for Finnish companies could be used to support Ukraine. All that is needed for this is political will and additional funding, the newspaper adds.
