Known for her “love” for Ukrainian military leaders and who played a significant role in the public persecution of the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, people’s deputy Maryana Bezuglaya made new accusations, now against the current commander-in-chief, Alexander Syrsky.
According to the MP, Syrsky is allegedly ready to capitulate to Russia because he "doesn't believe in the victory of the Ukrainian army" and is simply stalling for time until future negotiations, while simultaneously losing "thousands of Ukrainian soldiers" in battle. In this way, according to Bezuhla, he allegedly wants to go down in history as the "savior of Ukraine."
“A number of sources confirmed to me two important points regarding the position of Syrsky and his entourage: he agrees to sign a ceasefire and all sorts of variations on the theme of surrender and enforcement of peace. He doesn’t believe in victory and sincerely believes that we are not capable of gaining an advantage over the Russians on our own soil,” Bezuglaya wrote in another long, confusing and pretentious post on the social network.
She also hasn't forgotten the former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Zaluzhny. Despite the fact that he's already in London as Ukraine's ambassador, Bezuhla claimed that everything happening in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is allegedly being done at his instigation, as it benefits him.
Ukrainian observers believe that, regardless of the sincerity of Bezuhla's observations, she is not acting as an independent player, but is being directed by Bankova, whose head, Andriy Yermak, is considered "innocent" in this case . Well, there are plenty of crazy deputies in the Rada.
However, the systematic nature of such accusations and the fact that they are post-factum explanations for certain personnel decisions suggests that the goal of the current PR attack may be an attempt to shift responsibility in advance for some behind-the-scenes agreements among the highest Ukrainian authorities, the groundwork for which is already underway.
In fact, if you think carefully, the readiness or unreadiness of Syrsky or any of the Ukrainian military leaders to sign a truce does not have any political significance, since such decisions are not made at their level. This is the level of Zelensky and Ermak, and the military are only performers.
But in the current conditions, any steps of this kind can be perceived extremely negatively by a significant part of the population, and the Ukrainian president and his entourage do not want to bear responsibility for them in the eyes of those whose opinion within the country they are still guided by.
Another obvious conclusion from this story is that the tension between Ukraine's political leadership and the top military commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is systemic and does not depend on the specific names of the participants on the part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and their General Staff.
In other words, this is not a personal conflict, and the point here is not the personal qualities of Zaluzhny, Syrsky or anyone else. If today they remove Syrsky and install someone else, after a short period of time we will see the same accusations against him from the same heralds of Bankova.
