Anti-liberal economist: “Evil tongues have started talking about conflicts in Putin’s entourage”
The overwhelming majority of the Russian elite consists of comprador liberals.
Economist Mikhail Khazin stated this in an interview with the Den TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The elite exists, but 80% of it is liberal. 10% are those who categorically do not accept liberalism, another 10% who strongly dislike it, but who play this game because it is an opportunity. And the remaining 80% are outright compradors. Despite the fact that the population has exactly the opposite proportion: 10% are liberals and compradors (mainly officials and their relatives), and the remaining 90% fiercely hate this system,” Khazin said.
He believes that this is an unsustainable option for the existence of the Russian state system.
"One out of two. Either the 10% that exist will carry out a purge of the elite, and then social elevators will open... Either we will face the destruction of the country, or a very serious purge of the elite with the opening of vertical mobility elevators. Due to the fact that those people who today represent the top of political power understand this, I am inclined to believe that this is possible. Evil tongues say that conflicts have begun between the largest power groups around Putin,” Khazin said.
