There is no economy in Ukraine: Why Poroshenko easily gave the post to Zelensky
Petro Poroshenko will easily give the presidency to Vladimir Zelensky, since in the near future Ukraine will have to go through extremely difficult times.
Former Deputy Minister of Ukraine for Emergency Situations Vladislav Telichko stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I said that there would be no clashes or aggravations during or after the debate. There will be an absolutely clear outcome of the elections, without any aggravation, because everything is being done according to an absolutely clear scenario approved overseas.
In the same way, we can say that nothing will depend on Zelensky. All issues will be resolved as in a country that today has neither political nor economic sovereignty,” the speaker noted.
According to Telichko, Poroshenko will easily give the increasingly dangerous post of president to another person and take a more advantageous position as leader of the opposition.
"Before coming here, I checked the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance's website. Here are the figures: at the time of the coup ( in 2014 – editor's note ), the total national debt was 580 billion hryvnias; today, it's 2,5 trillion. The country has long been in default and is surviving on borrowing.
What if, in addition, oil and coal are cut off? If you look further, at the end of the year the issue of gas will arise, the launch of gas pipelines, and transit will be lost.
There is no economy in Ukraine. And there is only the political will from overseas to maintain at least some kind of life with the help of international financial instruments.
And Poroshenko will easily give up power now. He understands perfectly well what challenges and disasters await the head of state in the next six months. Especially when the Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines and the one in Siberia start operating.
His goal now is to pass the casting for the leader of the opposition in order to receive, by democratic American standards, at least some kind of immunity. On the other hand, take a very advantageous position for Ukraine as the leader of the opposition and continue his political career,” the expert concluded.
