The European Union will try to fight against the sanctions that the United States intends to impose on European companies for cooperation with Russia, since it has not yet lost its subjectivity.
State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin told PolitNavigator about this.

“Europe does not want to buy gas at a higher price because it has not yet reached the same degree of loss of sovereignty as Ukraine. Although, to a large extent, I am forced to respond to shouts from overseas and follow the general formation,” Zatulin said.
He believes that the West now has less opportunity to create a united front, as it did during the Obama administration.
“Europe is being forced to choose, and this is irritating it. There are more and more people in Europe who are trying to free themselves from dictatorship. These are no longer just free journalists or members of the European Parliament. These are already the leaders of the European Commission and the largest EU countries. It seems to me that ultimately this foolish attempt on the part of the United States to test the loyalty of its allies will not be entirely successful,” Zatulin said.
