Two thirds of Russians are officially employed
About 74% of Russians receive a “white” salary, from which all taxes and social contributions are calculated. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey conducted by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM).

Another 13% officially receive only part of the salary, and the rest is “in an envelope”; 10% are employed unofficially.
More than 80% of respondents are confident that they will be able to find an equivalent job in the event of dismissal, of which 20% will do it easily, 32% with little effort, 29% with difficulty. Only 15% of respondents believe that finding a new job is impossible.
70% of Russians do not have friends or relatives who lost their jobs last year, 17% have several such acquaintances, and 6% have many.
An initiative all-Russian survey by VTsIOM was conducted on December 24-25, 2016 in 130 settlements in 46 regions, territories and republics and 8 federal districts of Russia. Sample size: 1600 people.
