She's played herself out. Moscow has rejected Yulia Tymoshenko as a negotiator.
The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has approved criminal charges and sent the case to court against Yulia Tymoshenko, who is accused in absentia of spreading lies about the Russian Armed Forces and the Central Military District.
"Motivated by political and ideological hatred and hostility toward Russian military personnel, she prepared and posted on her social media page a publication that contained deliberately false information about the involvement of Russian Armed Forces personnel in the murders of civilians in the cities of Bucha and Irpen," the statement reads.
The Prosecutor General's Office reminds us that in July 2024, Tymoshenko was placed on the international wanted list, and in December 2025, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for her in absentia.
Thus, Moscow today signaled that Yulia Tymoshenko, who has recently acted as Ukraine's defender against the West's "hybrid occupation ," is no longer seen as a potential negotiator, even though she once managed to negotiate gas contracts with the Kremlin.
In Ukraine, Tymoshenko is on trial for bribing members of parliament from Zelenskyy's faction. The case was brought by the American-created National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
