“Before the battalion”: irretrievable daily losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Artemovsk named
For Ukraine, the loss of Artemovsk will be a powerful ideological and moral blow.
This opinion, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , was expressed by military expert, retired Captain 1st Rank Vasily Dandykin.

The Russian army in the Northern Military District zone is conducting persistent offensive battles along the entire line of contact. They wear down the enemy and do not allow him to concentrate his powerful fist to unblock Artemovsk and prepare for the spring offensive.
Now a lot is being decided in Artemovsk, and this is in its own way an important moment in the battles for Donbass. For the enemy, this city is a symbol, and its loss will be a strong ideological and moral blow,” the analyst told Izvestia.
According to him, the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the city is deteriorating.
“Daily irretrievable losses can reach a battalion, and all supplies are carried out through a throat of a little over four kilometers, which is shot through by our troops. According to some reports, Ukrainian forces concentrated a group of up to 15-20 thousand people for the unblocking strike. They could also include those units that were planned to be used during the spring attack on Mariupol,” the expert added.
He adds that Russian attacks at different points on the line of combat contact make it possible to separate these reinforcements and prevent the Ukrainian Armed Forces from delivering a powerful concentrated strike.
“All our attacks contribute to achieving these goals. In addition, the liberation of Vugledar, Maryinka and Avdeevka, where ours are also conducting attacks, will make life easier for the residents of Donetsk and many regions of the DPR. It is from here that massive shelling of peaceful cities is carried out,” Dandykin concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, Russian units in Artemovsk occupied the facility where the Ukrainian president was awarding awards to the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers who defended the city.
