"Sabotage at the chemical enterprises of the DPR" - Basurin explained the reasons for the evacuation
The leadership of the Donbas republics decided to evacuate elderly people, women, and children to Russia for safety reasons following a series of thwarted terrorist attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces at chemical facilities.
Representative of the DPR People's Police Department Eduard Basurin stated this via video link from Donetsk on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Life will not stand still, because people will remain here too. Not everyone will run away from here, as in Ukraine they say that we are running away - no. We are trying to save the lives of our children so that in the future they can build this life, which will be destroyed as a result of aggression from Ukraine.
But we have had martial law since 14, and under martial law people went to work, enterprises worked, everything worked. But this attempt to carry out sabotage at chemical plants forced us to take this step - to save the lives of as many people as possible,” Basurin said.
