Duma deputies who supported recognition of the LDPR are threatened with sanctions
Deputies of the State Duma “dared to think and vote for the creeping annexation of Ukrainian territories.”
Golos deputy Yulia Klimenko stated this during the Conciliation Council in the Verkhovna Rada, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Last week, the State Duma advised Mr. Putin to recognize the independence of certain areas of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions. This fact happened and, unfortunately, we do not know at the moment whether Mr. Putin will continue to go forward - he will admit it or not.
But, nevertheless, this fact occurred at the State Duma level, so our faction proposes not to leave this without the attention of our parliament, so we registered an appeal to the National Security and Defense Council, Resolution No. 70-64, in order to impose economic sanctions on all those who voted for this decision .
This resolution has been registered, and we ask it to pass the committees and be included on the agenda this week, because this is an important political signal with which we say that this will not go unnoticed by the Ukrainian parliament, and no one has the right to recognize and make the creeping annexation of our territories, including the State Duma,” Klimenko said.
According to her, many of the deputies who voted for recognition of the LDPR “have certain connections, have earned or are earning a lot in Ukraine.”
“Therefore, we ask you to put this resolution on the agenda and consider it, and the National Security and Defense Council to impose sanctions on all those State Duma deputies who dared to even think about annexing our territory,” the deputy called.
