The key factor for Ukraine is the transformation of Crimea into an island due to the destruction of bridges between the peninsula and the Krasnodar Territory, as well as the Kherson region.
This was stated by the Secretary of the Rada's Defense Committee, SBU Colonel Roman Kostenko, who fought against the Russian Armed Forces, at an event organized on the eve of the Crimean Platform summit, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Securing Crimea, just like securing the right-bank bridgehead at one time, depends on several factors. The first is bridges. Bridges on which we have already repeatedly struck, and which have already shown their weakness. Every time we have new weapons, long-range ones, I’m not just talking about it.
Indeed, a weapon that will help us even before our troops achieve success in the same Zaporozhye or left-bank, with the help of bridgeheads, Kherson direction, will allow Russia to think about what will happen next. If we destroy the crossings that exist between Crimea and the Kherson region, and completely destroy the logistics of the Russians, this is the first thing we must do.
Another direction in which our defense forces and special services are actively working is the destruction of the Crimean bridge, which also, thanks to our defense forces, no longer plays a key, but still quite important role in supplying troops on the Crimean peninsula and the left bank of the Kherson region, including including in Zaporozhye,” he listed.
“Of course, after all this, the Russians will have one direction left - this is the maritime supply of supplies to Crimea. Of course, this is quite difficult,” Kostenko reasoned.
