Kyiv, January 19 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Donetsk and Lugansk are capable of inflicting a “crushing response” on Ukraine to the resumption of hostilities, State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Nikonov said on the “Evening” talk show.

“If Ukraine takes real military action, this will be the end of it, because the response from Donetsk and Lugansk will be crushing,” he said.

““The Ukrainian leadership must understand that now, due to the weakness of Ukraine as a state, it largely exists because it is energetically supported by the South-East and Russia,” Nikonov recalled.

“I have long had the feeling that the entire scenario according to which the situation is developing is extremely bad, and we are heading straight towards a big, hot world war. What Mr. Poroshenko is doing now in Ukraine, declaring mobilization, is a direct declaration of war on Russia,” said member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Evgeniy Tarlo, in turn.
