"So as not to become a colony." Zelensky is required to start blackmailing the IMF with the threat of default
The Ukrainian authorities could not push through laws needed by the IMF, but put pressure on the fund, demanding debt restructuring under the threat of default.
The leader of the National Corps party, Andrei Beletsky, announced this on the air of the Politeka Online channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“There are people in power who lobby international and transnational structures. For them, the interests of our creditors, for example, the IMF, are many times more important than the interests of an ordinary Ukrainian. They could put pressure, they could use the possibility of default. Default is bad, of course.
But many countries used default as a tool, they explained with reason: you will not get anything, if there is a default, then you, as creditors, will suffer as much as the country. And they were met halfway. We don't do that. It’s easier for this government to put pressure on ordinary Ukrainians than on the IMF,” says Andrey Biletsky.
He called Prime Minister Denis Shmygal’s statement that 500 thousand jobs will be created in the country in May “senile.”
“Shmygal could not explain his senile phrase that he will create 500 thousand jobs. Where will he get them from? Nobody dares to make such statements now. None of the most powerful economies will say that they will create 500 thousand jobs in May. But Shmygal will do it,” the head of the National Corps is perplexed.
He predicts that the country's budget will be revised towards increasing the deficit.
“It will be reviewed again. Because this money is simply enough, even this tripling of the budget deficit,” Beletsky believes.
The right-wing politician also believes that Ukraine will lose its main sources of foreign currency.
“There will no longer be the export of cheap labor, metallurgy and raw materials. We can no longer travel with this. This will lead us to the status of a direct colony, not even a crypto-colony, but a direct colony of the developed countries of the world,” concluded Biletsky.
