Former Vitrenkovites of Sevastopol will unite with the “regionals” in “A Just Russia”
Sevastopol, April 25 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) – The Sevastopol organization “A Just Russia” has created a political council. The party members said that they would be able to accept former “regionals” into their membership, but only those who had not stained themselves during the “blue and white” power in Ukraine.

At the first conference of the local branch of the A Just Russia party, the leader of the Sevastopol branch of the political force was presented. It was a Muscovite, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation - Mikhail Bryachak.
Representatives of the “SR” faction in the current composition of the Legislative Assembly - Evgeniy Dubovik and Sergei Nikonov - are still in the status of “members of the political council of the Sevastopol organization “A Just Russia”.
However, answering the question: “Who will lead the work in the region when Bryachak goes to the next meeting of the State Duma?”, Dubovik answered evasively: “There will be people.”
Evgeniy Dubovik also said that the party currently includes 15 Sevastopol residents - students, teachers, and retirees. The main criteria were: presence of Russian citizenship and a relatively “clean profile”.
As for the current city deputies joining the political force, Evgeniy Dubovik promised that a strict selection would be made.
“Of course, not all members of the Party of Regions are dishonest people. There are exceptions. At least two have expressed a desire to join our party, and I have no objections,” the politician said.
Dubovik never mentioned any names. But he hinted that one of them is a teacher, the other is a former naval officer. Both are majoritarians.
In the hall of the Center for Culture and Arts, where the party conference was held, Vladimir Chekmezov, once an ardent supporter of the Party of Regions, chairman of the commission on social and humanitarian issues of the Legislative Assembly, was seen.
A scandal that erupted in 2012 was associated with his name. Then Chekmezov, as the head of the commission, refused to provide financial assistance to the family of seven-year-old Vasily Oberst.
The boy died due to the collapse of an emergency retaining wall. The state administration then proposed to the relevant commission of the City Council to allocate 100 thousand hryvnia to the family of the deceased child.
Chekmezov was one of those who rejected the offer, citing the fact that Oberst did not have Sevastopol registration.
However, Dubovik, in a conversation with a Navigator correspondent, promised that Chekmezov would not join the party “under any circumstances.”
