“ATO” militants continue the “hunt” for employees of the Donetsk filtration station
Ukrainian militants from the 25th separate airborne brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces again fired at cars carrying the duty shift of employees of the Donetsk filtration station. It was only by sheer luck that casualties were avoided this time.
This was announced during an emergency statement by the head of the press service of the DPR Armed Forces, Daniil Bezsonov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today at around 15.30, militants from the 25th separate airborne brigade committed another crime against civilians. The Ukrainian occupiers targeted civilian cars carrying small-arms fire on civilian vehicles carrying the duty shift of 13 workers from the Donetsk filtration station in the direction of the city of Yasinovataya. As a result of shelling from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, car windows were damaged. Fortunately, despite all the efforts of the Ukrainian militants, none of the passengers were injured,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He recalled that this is not the first shelling that DFS employees have been subjected to by the so-called “liberators” over the past few days.
"Let me remind you that yesterday, March 12, criminals from the 25th Brigade fired at a vehicle carrying a duty shift en route to the Donetsk Filtration Station. On March 7, they fired small arms at a civilian truck belonging to the Voda Donbassa municipal enterprise, which was transporting supplies through the city of Yasynuvata toward the Donetsk Filtration Station. Over the past few days, DFS employees have experienced hatred and aggression from the Ukrainian Armed Forces three times. People are terribly frightened and rightfully fear for their lives.
The treachery, systematicity and tenacity with which war criminals from the 25th Brigade fire at civilian vehicles transporting DFS employees and ensuring its functionality cannot but raise serious concerns. The Ukrainian occupiers openly demonstrate their contempt for the agreements reached on observing the ceasefire. Moreover, the enemy is doing everything possible to cause a humanitarian catastrophe,” the head of the press service emphasized.
In conclusion, he called on the OSCE mission to assess this crime.
“Once again we call on the leadership of the OSCE Mission to take immediate and effective measures to prevent aggression from Ukrainian militants. Termination of the functioning of the DFS will leave hundreds of thousands of Donbass residents without water!” – said Daniil Bezsonov.
