The Belarusian Foreign Ministry did not apologize to the Russian Federation, but was showered with gratitude to China
Belarusian media, both state and opposition, are widely covering the arrival of a second plane from China carrying medical supplies to fight the coronavirus.
“Test systems, high-protection masks, excretory systems for PCR diagnostics, and medications have been delivered. On board is the second batch of humanitarian aid from our Chinese friends, as well as a charitable move by several large Belarusian companies and purchases from state-owned enterprises,” the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reports.

The ministry expressed gratitude to the Chinese Embassy in Belarus and personally to Ambassador Cui Qiming “for solidarity and friendship in difficult times for the entire international community.”
As a reminder, a similar shipment from Russia evoked disgust instead of gratitude from Belarusian diplomats. Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei lied that Belarus had not requested assistance. Russian Ambassador to Minsk Dmitry Mezentsev convincingly refuted this claim , but the Belarusian Foreign Ministry deemed it unnecessary to apologize.
