Belarus has become the leader in the supply of prohibited products to the Russian Federation
The main flow of sanctioned products to Russia comes from Belarus.
The head of the Russian Customs Service, Vladimir Bulavin, announced this today in the Federation Council, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The main problem is that our partners in the Eurasian Economic Union did not join our retaliatory sanctions. The main part of the sanctions goes in the Belarusian direction. It is with great regret that we say that it is mainly our business that carries sanctioned goods. Therefore, it is probably worth raising the question of bringing to justice those who are involved in this,” Bulavin said.
He said that in 2015, after Russia introduced retaliatory sanctions on imported products, the customs service created 35 mobile groups to work on the borders with Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The peak flow of sanctions occurred in 2017. Its volume was 9 thousand tons. Since then it has fallen every year.
