“Bakhmut is under siege. But the main threat is in other directions” - Lutsenko
Artemovsk is under siege, but the biggest threat to Ukraine is in the direction of the Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
This was stated on air by the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine and former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Yuriy Lutsenko, who is currently in the Artemovsk region, on the Lviv television channel NTA, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Lutsenko, Russia has concentrated a 300-strong group in areas adjacent to the fighting.
“The main threat is not here, not in Bakhmut, although it is now, indeed, in a serious state of siege and literally yesterday and today we will be working to protect the road to Slavyansk, which is already under enemy fire control.
But the biggest problem is the flanks. Liman – there are huge battles there and the largest numbers of Russian losses are there. In Liman, as well as below, on Ugledar, the Russians concentrated 120 thousand personnel, two thousand tanks and armored vehicles, 700 guns,” said the ex-prosecutor general.
“These are their two directions of strategic offensive, they want to go along the administrative borders of Donetsk and, accordingly, Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk regions. This is where the biggest battles are currently taking place. And you need to understand that there are about 30 thousand orcs opposite Bakhmut, and 120 thousand each in the south and north. And therefore we understand that February will be very fierce, March, probably, too,” Lutsenko said.
