The day before, the “ideologically proven” Andrei Krischenko was appointed chief of police in Kharkov - last spring he headed the police department in Gorlovka and prevented local residents from hoisting the Russian flag on the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Kryshchenko is my choice for Kharkov in these difficult times... A patriot and a real officer,” announced Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.

He also announced the appearance of a “new patrol police” in Odessa. Avakov, together with Petro Poroshenko, will present it during a visit to the city on April 10.

“This coming Friday in Odessa we will have the honor, in the presence of the President of Ukraine, to present a new concept for city security, where the most important component is the work of the New Patrol Police!” – Avakov said.

According to him, the same patrol policemen will appear in Kharkov in early May.
