Avakov dismissed the head of the Melitopol police, whose subordinates prevented the Nazis from disrupting the city on May 9
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine continues demonstrative reprisals against those managers and employees who ensured the normal conduct of festive events on May 9 and did not allow neo-Nazis to disrupt them. Thus, the head of the Melitopol police department, Yuri Bulanov, was suspended from his official duties.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported this on its Facebook page.
“The head of the Melitopol police department, Yuri Bulanov, was suspended from the performance of his official duties,” the message says.
At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that on the occasion of May 9, mass events took place in Melitopol, in which about 4 thousand citizens took part, and 200 law enforcement officers were involved to ensure public order.
“The leadership and employees of the local police department made a number of miscalculations in ensuring the rule of law during mass events for Victory Day,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified.
Let us recall that the “miscalculation” of the head of the Melitopol police was that, as PolitNavigator reported, local law enforcement officers did not allow the Nazis and “ATO veterans” to disrupt the “Immortal Regiment” event in the city and used force against the most radical Nazis.
