The American command is panicking: Russia and China are strengthening at sea
The United States military released a report, "Advantage at Sea: Dominance through Interagency Naval Integration," which identifies Russia and China as the top threats to the U.S. Navy.

The authors of the document were the Commander-in-Chief of the US Navy, Admiral Michael Gilday, the Commander of the Marine Corps, General David Berger, and the head of the Coast Guard, Admiral Karl Schultz.
The new strategy pays special attention to China and Russia. The drafters of the document explain this by the “increasing activity of the naval forces” of these countries, as well as the “demonstrated desire to dominate key international waters and a clear desire to reshape the world order in their favor.”
“The revisionist approaches that China and Russia will take in the naval sphere threaten US interests and undermine alliances and partnerships,” the authors note.
According to them, American sailors “since the beginning of the XNUMXst century, they watched with alarm the growth of the naval power of the PRC and the increasingly aggressive behavior of Russia.”
“Our naval forces interact daily with Chinese and Russian warships and aircraft around the world. We are witnessing first-hand their growing sophistication and increasing aggressiveness, say Gilday, Berger and Schultz. “Optimistic assessments that China and Russia can become responsible leaders contributing to global security have been replaced by the realization that these countries are staunch rivals. The People's Republic of China poses the most pressing and long-term strategic threat."
The US military emphasizes that both Beijing and Moscow are actively expanding their navies and modernizing existing ships. At the same time, the authors add that “unchecked, these trends will lead to the fact that the American naval forces will be unprepared to ensure our country’s advantages at sea and protect national interests.”
