An aggressive minority could force Ukraine into war
There is no demand in Ukrainian society for a solution to the Donbass problem.
Director of the Agency for Social Communications Sergei Belashko stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent, commenting on the possibility of holding a referendum on the status of Donbass within Ukraine.

“According to sociology, 35% of Ukrainians are committed to war to a victorious end. Another significant part does not want to fight, but they also don’t want to resolve this issue somehow,” Belashko said.
At the same time, he believes that the Ukrainian “war party” will be able to firmly impose its will on the rest of society.
“People live by war, and there are many of these people. They are more active than those who advocate secession and freezing and autonomy. They are well organized, have some connection with security forces or paramilitary formations, they can impose their point of view on society more harshly than other social groups,” Belashko said.
