Cruel deception: Ze-Rada failed the law reducing tariffs for the population
The Ukrainian parliament did not adopt a draft resolution on an appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers for an immediate reduction in tariffs for electricity and natural gas, despite the promise of Zelensky’s team to “resolve the pressing tariff issue.”
This happened during an extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the request of the author of resolution No. 4587, the deputies proceeded to voting immediately, without discussion. However, the document was supported by 197 deputies out of 226 required (in total there were 338 deputies in place). Thus, no decision was made to reduce tariffs.
As a reminder, Ukraine previously decided to equate debtors for exorbitant utility bills with malicious alimony defaulters.
