A fierce battle is taking place on the outskirts of Donetsk in the area of the village of Spartak, military correspondent Sergei Belous reports on his blog, publishing a video from the city center, where shots are clearly heard.

“The battle near Spartak has been going on for three hours, and now, along the way, the “response” has arrived. Taken three minutes ago. Thunder reaches the center, windows are shaking,” Belous reports.
His colleague Roman Saponkov, in turn, reports on the fighting in Zaitsevo, which began in the morning, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Serious aggravation. At 6 a.m., heavy artillery shelling began. As of 18:00, 8 dead, unknown injuries. If in the morning the wounded and killed were only from artillery, in the afternoon they came with bullet wounds. The battle was strong - not all those killed were pulled out of their positions. I don’t know if it’s possible to respond to the art of the DPR. For Zaitsevo, unfortunately, the situation is normal. It was the Armed Forces of Ukraine who congratulated the militia on February 23,” Saponkov wrote on his blog.
“This is the very price of the holiday - Defender of the Fatherland Day. It’s not for you to drink alcohol with a snack in company,” notes Belous.
