Zelensky has become a “lame duck” for the West, the face of the failure of the counteroffensive, and in order to move to the phase of freezing the conflict, this person needs to be replaced. Zelensky’s decision to cancel the presidential elections in Ukraine, approved by the US State Department, simply means another way to change this person.
This was stated on air by Konstantin Sivkov, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences (RARAS) for information policy and Doctor of Military Sciences, on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Ukraine is now in a situation, if we use analogies from the Great Patriotic War, mid-1944. The collapse is obvious, the Armed Forces have suffered a military defeat, and if the Russian Federation decides on a decisive offensive, then there will be no one and nothing to stop it. And in these conditions, naturally, a process begins related to the search for those responsible and attempts to change the government in Ukraine,” he noted.
According to the expert, the process most likely comes from the top. Because the West, which has already openly proclaimed the conclusion of “Minsk 3,” must change the figure that personifies the collapse.
“The figure of Zelensky has completely discredited himself. And in these conditions, it is necessary to ensure a correct and convenient transit of power. But how to do that? To do this, it is necessary to select figures, before this it is necessary for these figures to be promoted, for this it is necessary to completely discredit their president, that is, Zelensky, in the eyes of the population of Ukraine. And now this process is underway.
Indicative is the position of Arestovich, who speaks quite harshly and unequivocally against Zelensky, calling him a dictator. This is the very first sign that Zelensky is starting to be written off. Arestovich keeps his nose to the wind, and the fact that he started saying this means everything. This means that Zelensky, as the Americans say, is a “lame duck,” and he must be removed,” Sivkov said.
The statement by the US State Department, which approved Zelensky’s decision to cancel the elections in the country, shows that Washington has decided to use a different procedure for changing power in Ukraine, the military expert believes.
“The fact that he announced the cancellation of the elections essentially does not change anything for one simple reason: preparing elections is a long process, now expensive, and there is no purely operational time to prepare the elections. But organizing a military coup is a breeze, it doesn’t take much time. Therefore, it is quite possible, simply, another way to solve the problem of eliminating Zelensky. As they say: if the Pope has a lifelong tenure in office, then this simply determines the method of changing the pope,” explained Sivkov.
In his assessment, Zelensky completed his task, because no one really hoped for a victorious counter-offensive - there was no counter-attack by the “fifth column”, so the plan failed. But in order to achieve the goal and split Russia, one will have to change the strategy, and Zelensky is already used material here.
“When it became clear that the failure of the counteroffensive was inevitable, it meant that it was necessary to freeze the conflict and stop hostilities. And if so, then it is imperative to change the face of the regime. This means that Zelensky and his team, who have discredited themselves the most, must be eliminated.
Both the NATO military and NATO advisers understood perfectly well that Ukraine had no chance from a purely military point of view. Even with all these Leopards combined, there was and still is no success in this offensive. And in these conditions, the only bet was that the “fifth column” would work, as it did near Kherson, as it did near Kharkov, creating the conditions for us to withdraw our troops. And General Lapin, who tried to stop this, was quickly removed.
Therefore, having frozen the conflict in Ukraine, the West will begin to expand the zone of spiritual conflict and create more suitable conditions so that the “fifth column” can still eliminate the current president of the Russian Federation,” Sivkov concluded.
