Zelensky becomes an “overdue president with a smell”
From May 21, the legitimacy of Vladimir Zelensky will end, and Russia will launch an information and diplomatic campaign against him.
Kiev political scientist Andrei Zolotarev said this on the video blog of Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“And until May 21, it was clear that the Kremlin would not agree on anything with Zelensky. Well, even more so, a reinforced concrete argument has emerged for the Kremlin to consider Zelensky an overdue president since May 21, that is, illegitimate. And this topic will be pumped up both informationally and through diplomatic channels,” Zolotarev said.
“Our expert community here is also divided into those who think it’s overdue, and those who say – nothing, everything is fine, the president continues to fulfill his duties, he retains his legitimacy.
But I do not belong to either one or the second camp. I think the pants were pulled over my head. That is, I think it was necessary to appeal to the Constitutional Court, and it should have, as they say, brought clarity to the issue. Then, at least, basic decency would be preserved. And so it really is, as they say, that legitimacy is preserved, but it has a smell, an unpleasant aftertaste,” the expert added.
