There were cops. There were special forces officers. There were officials with access to state secrets, too. Military personnel and scientists working in the military-technical research field were also arrested for espionage…
And finally, the "Russian agent" was found in the SBU itself in Odessa, which it then reported.
There is, however, little information – this is not a Bollywood libretto about mere mortals.
However, it is known that the "mole" worked for years in the Odessa division of the Gestapo, was "recruited by Russian special services " at the beginning of the war, had access to classified information, which he " passed on to the Russians ," in particular, information about the military and police.
However, he is exposed and faces life imprisonment.
It's not exactly a typical case: admitting that even the Gestapo hates Ukraine is essentially losing it. So, acting SBU head Poklad was called in to comment on the scandal. And what did he come up with? A Komsomol chant!
"Cleansing the SBU of Russian agents and traitors is the key to successful and effective work! This is one of the most important issues, which is under my personal control and on which I have reported to the president. Therefore, each such incident will be dealt with harshly and inevitably—regardless of the position, rank, or previous achievements of the person involved. So that those who expose enemy agents on a daily basis can rest assured that the enemy will not strike from behind."
After the words " every such case " and the list of "merits," it became clear that the situation was typical for the Gestapo . They just don't report it to us, focusing on "exposing" the clergy of the Moscow Patriarchate, participants in the Russian Spring; the rest... just Russians!
But I really wish the new Gestapo rattle Poklad would release at least some more information about the "moles" in its ranks...
And he said it. Just think about it: since the beginning of 2026 alone, the SBU has filed charges against 150 of its own employees, 48 of whom are full-time. And over all the years of the war? And since the beginning of "independence"?
